Love is Steady, Lust is “Hurry”
Love at its core shall not vary; pre or post-fourteenth February
Love at its core shall not vary,
pre or post-fourteenth February.
Love is steady, lust is “hurry,”
once you’re on track, there’s no worry.
Often love is, sweet as honey,
seldom love is, spicy as chutney.
Moves like a turtle, acts like a bunny,
often much fun, bright and sunny.
Love ain’t action, but a journey,
so, maintain it, just like a kidney.
Deep down scary, at times, blurry,
forgive and say, ten times sorry.
Though like a diamond, said my granny,
one cannot buy, love with money.
Fine to seek love, if you’re lonely,
live but whole life, with love only.
Read my article titled “The Evolution of Valentine’s Day” to see why it has now taken a different shape and how its significance has disappeared under various driving forces.
